Lessons In The Post—2010 Price List
Lessons in the Post are carefully structured and creatively presented work programmes, set at a level which is relevant to your child’s needs. Each weekly lesson gives you, the parent, around 3 hours of constructive teaching time with your child, with email or phone support available from Jo and Simon Marchant.
1 January to 31 December 2010
Initial Assessment
- The initial assessment and report costs £65.
- All further assessment tests, as required, but usually at about 6 monthly intervals, are free of charge.
Weekly lessons for 7 and 8 year olds’ programmes
(until they move up to the courses below):
- £27 per weekly lesson, including the text books provided.
Weekly lessons for 9 year olds’ programme (until they move up to the courses below):
- £32 per weekly lesson, including the text books provided.
Preparation courses for 11+, Independent School exams and Year 6 SATs exams:
11+ Foundation Course (14 weeks):
- Lessons: £32 per weekly lesson.
- Initial charge of £42 for the text books required for this course.
11+ programme for 11+ and Independent School exams (44 weeks):
- Lessons: £33 per weekly lesson
- Initial Charge of £90 to cover the costs of the extra text books and stationery for the year, including the large number of 11+ practice papers that are provided.
- Final Revision Programme (4 weeks) at end of the 11+ Programme: £135.
Fast Track Course for Year 6 SATs preparation (37 weeks):
- Lessons: £33 per weekly lesson
- Initial charge of £65 to cover the costs of the extra books and stationery for the year, including many practice papers.
Notes:
- Invoices for each half term are submitted with the first week’s lesson and are payable immediately.
- You may pay by cheque, internet banking (details on the invoice), or by credit card via PayPal (for which there is a 4% surcharge).
Lessons in the Post gives you the following benefits:

- There are no charges for postage.
